Disadvantages of Shaving Your Head Bald
In our last article post, we discussed some of the advantages of shaving your head bald for both men and women. We had a couple of comments covering this post and thought we would also cover the disadvantages of going with a bald head. After all, this is a major decision!
Some of the disadvantages of shaving your head bald are:
- The upkeep can be time consuming. Some hair grows quicker that others and to keep it well maintained, it has to be smooth. This may mean shaving your head more than once or twice per week.
- You head may be cold in the winter or whenever the temperature drops. There’s nothing like having heat escape from your head!
- If the weather is hot outside and sunny, you face the possibility of sunburn on your scalp. This is exposed skin and will need to be protected with sunscreen.
- Your hair offers your some protection as well. When you shave it all off, your head is completely exposed. Hair acts as a buffer in cases of an accident.
- Once you shave all your hair off, it’s done. If you are not happy with the look, it can take months to get it back to where you started.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to shaving your head bald. If you decide to do so, be sure to weigh both sides and make your decision. One of the major concerns with shaving is upkeep.
To make sure your head stays in the best shape possible, be sure to care for your scalp with moisturizer and conditioners after each shave. We recommend using Faceworks. Not only is it a lubricant, but it also prevents the occurrence of razor bumps on your head. For best results, use the product after every shave.
